    2D sketch or block model with key dimensions for sign-off — before we spend hours on geometry.

    CAD

    Parametric model in Solidworks or Fusion. Features driven by dimensions you can change later.

    DFM review

    Wall thickness, orientation, support strategy, print time — checked against real machines.

    Iterate

Reverse engineering

From physical part to printable STEP

Got a legacy bracket, an obsolete OEM part, or a worn assembly with no drawings? Bring it in. We scan it, reconstruct it as parametric CAD, and deliver a print-ready STEP — sometimes with the printed copy in the same envelope.

    Intake

    Drop the part off in Vaughan or ship it. We handle returns.

  2. 02

    Scan

    Sub-millimeter dimensional capture with structured-light or laser scanning.

  3. 03

    Mesh

    Point cloud → cleaned mesh → reference geometry pulled out (axes, datums).

  4. 04

    CAD

    Parametric reconstruction in Solidworks or Fusion. Features, not just surfaces.

  5. 05

    Verify

    Print a copy. Measure it. Compare against the original. Adjust if needed.

  6. 06

    Deliver

    STEP + IGES + STL + dimensional report. Printed verification on request.

Best for

Legacy or obsolete parts, worn parts needing replacement, parts with no drawings, dimensional verification of received goods.

Not the right call for

Highly reflective, transparent, or sub-millimeter detail surfaces without surface prep (powder coat or matte spray).
