Native auto-quote for FDM parts. Upload an STL, OBJ, 3MF, STEP, or IGES — we'll measure the geometry locally, scan it for DFM issues, then run a real Xactor slice on our quote server for a calibrated price. Submitted CADs are archived against your order so engineers can verify the geometry; downloadable from your dashboard. Engineer reviews every quote within one business day.
Geometry checks (bounding box, volume, manifold scan, DFM) run in your browser via Three.js — no upload needed for the review step. To run a real Xactor slice for the price, your file uploads to our quote server. When you submit the quote as an order, the file is archived against your account so engineers can verify the geometry against the printed part; you can re-download it any time from your dashboard. Nothing is shared with third parties. If you abandon the quote without submitting, the file is dropped.
So an engineer can confirm the auto-quote and reach you if the part needs a real conversation. v1 pricing is a calibrated estimate, not a final invoice — we want to be reachable.
For standard FDM parts within tolerance, the auto-quote should be within ±15% of the final number. Unusual geometry, large parts, or specialty materials get flagged for engineer review. We'd rather under-promise than send a wrong price.
STEP and IGES upload directly — your CAD is tessellated in your browser via OpenCASCADE (WASM) and feeds the same auto-quote pipeline as STL. The original STEP/IGES is archived for the production team. SLDPRT (SolidWorks proprietary) needs to be re-exported as STEP first, or emailed for a manual quote.
For v1, click "Email this quote" and we'll send the breakdown to your inbox. Saved-quote URLs and accounts are coming in v2.
v1 is FDM-only with as-printed or sanded finish, quantity 1–1,000. Resin, partner-network MJF/SLS, paint/dye finishing, and larger volumes route to email — same one-business-day reply.
